At-home dental care
- Brush regularly — Daily brushing with pet-safe toothpaste is the gold standard. Start slowly and make it a positive experience.
- Dental diets and chews — VOHC-approved products can help reduce plaque between professional cleanings.
- Watch for warning signs — Bad breath, drooling, difficulty eating, or pawing at the mouth all warrant a check-up.
